Terms of Service

Helse organizes your health information and explains it. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe, and it does not replace a doctor or other clinician. Talk to one before you change a medication, supplement, or treatment because of something you read in Helse. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

Helse uses AI to read documents and write summaries, and AI can get things wrong — a misread number, a wrong date, a missed result. Check what Helse reads against your original document before you rely on it. A target or research note shows its source; your own clinician’s advice comes first.

You must be at least 18. You may keep profiles for other people whose care you manage — a child, a parent, a pet — and add information about someone else (for example, a partner’s results in a fertility report) only if you have the right to do so.

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so anyone who can read that inbox can get into your account. Keep it secure, and tell us at hello@gethelse.com if you think someone else has signed in as you. You are responsible for what happens in your account.

You own what you add to Helse — documents, results, notes, and records. You give us permission to store it, process it (including with our AI provider), and show it to you and to the people you share it with, only to run Helse for you, as the Privacy Policy describes. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. You can delete records, profiles, or your whole account at any time.

When you share a profile, the people you choose see what you allowed. You decide who that is, and you can change or remove their access.

When you use Helse, you agree not to:

• Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated means to access Helse or extract anything from it, except through features we provide for that (such as downloading your own records as CSV);
• Copy, republish, or redistribute Helse’s content — its targets, research notes, explanations, designs, or text — or use it to build or improve a competing product, service, or dataset;
• Use Helse or its content to train or improve an AI or machine-learning model;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or try to extract Helse’s source code, prompts, or underlying logic, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms;
• Access or try to access data you haven’t been given, probe or break our security, get around limits (such as on invitation emails), or put an unreasonable load on the service;
• Upload anything you don’t have the right to upload, or anything harmful, such as malware;
• Resell, rent, or sublicense access to Helse, or present it as part of another product.

Helse’s software, design, name, and logo, and the content we create — including our selection, review, and wording of targets, research notes, and explanations — belong to us and are protected by law. The studies and guidelines we cite belong to their authors; what we own is how we chose, checked, and presented them. We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use Helse for yourself and the people whose care you manage, under these terms.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

If you connect another service, such as WHOOP, your use of it is governed by that service’s own terms. We are not responsible for services we don’t run.

Helse is new and changing quickly: we may add, change, or remove features. You can stop using Helse and delete your account at any time from your Account page. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we have to for legal or safety reasons; where reasonable, we will tell you first.

Helse is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that it will meet your needs.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or opportunities, arising from your use of Helse. Our total liability for any claim about Helse is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

If someone brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or uploaded something you had no right to, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim.

We may update these terms. We will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, give a more prominent notice. If you keep using Helse after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
